  Pastor Baker has served the Lord at FaithWay Baptist Church since June, 1980. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, our pastor joined our ministry as the associate pastor. On May 14, 1987 he became senior pastor of the church. God has blessed the ministry of FaithWay Baptist Church with solid growth and spiritual development. The church has completed three building programs under his direction. The church is currently developing their property for the purpose of adding some new buildings. A plan is in place to strategically enlarge our buildings and enhance our campus during the next several years.
In addition to his leadership in the church, Dr. Baker also serves as the president of FaithWay Baptist College of Canada. He serves on the Cooperating Board of the Sword of the Lord, the Board of Trustees for Baptist International Missions, Inc., and the Board of Directors of Baptist Church Planting Ministry Canada. He holds the Doctor of Education degree from Louisiana Baptist University and also a Ph.D. in Church Administration from Trinity Theological Seminary, Newburgh, Indiana.
Pastor Baker and Melissa have been married since 1978. In addition to being a godly wife and mother, Melissa is actively involved in the music and teaching ministries of the church and college. She also directs the ladies’ fellowships at the church and teaches a Sunday school class for Single Mothers. |
